Wednesday, August 25 - Paws to Read The Flagler County Library and The Flalger County
Humane Society have teamed up! Beginning readers are invited to come to the library to participate in a special program that
will help to build confidence in reading abilities through the employment of a powerful method: reading to a dog! Children
will have the opportunity to read aloud to a "canine reading assistant" and a supportive volunteer in a one-on-one
setting during prescheduled 15 minute sessions. Where:

Fingerprinting will be provided by
the Sheriff's Dept. and the local firehouse will be providing a fire truck & safety trailer, teaching our children

Saturday, August 28 - Lowes Build and Grow Clinic Build and Grow Kid’s Clinics are a great
way to help build confidence! Bring the kids into any Lowe’s store and build a FREE wooden project. This classic week's
toy is as much fun to build as it is to play school bus with cool stickers, a secret compartment, chalk and a chalboard on
top!! Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion
of their project. The first 50 kids to register and be present at the store at 10am will receive a kit, aprons and goggles.

Monday, August 30 - Family Film Night All ages are invited to this live action film
based on a true story from Japan. A professor on his way home from work finds a lost Akita puppy at a train station.
Despite his wife's objections the puppy manages to endear himself to the family and grows to be the professor's loyal
